Supporting the Silent March for Victims of GLBT Violence

On March 20, GLASS joined thousands of community members in Columbia Heights for the Silent March for Victims of GLBT Violence.

As an organization with many members who live in these areas, and as a member of a larger community with the common goal of creating a safe environment for all GLBT people, we supported the organizers’ efforts to draw attention to this issue and were proud to stand up against the recent wave of violence against GLBT individuals in the Columbia Heights and Northeast corridors of D.C.  The Washington Post has a good write up of the event, and below are a few pictures.
