Staff Briefing on the Every Child Deserves a Family Act
On November 17, the GLASS Caucus is hosting a Staff Briefing on the recently introduced “Every Child Deserves a Family Act”, S.1770. The ECDFA would prohibit discrimination in adoption or foster case placements based on the sexual orientation, gender identity, or marital status of any prospective adoptive or foster parent, or the sexual orientation or gender identity of the child involved. Panelists include Representatives from Senator Gillibrand’s office, The Human Rights Campaign, The Family Equality Council, PFLAG, and Voices for Adoption.
