GLASS Statement on Passing of Frank Kameny

WASHINGTON, DC – The Steering Committee of the Gay, Lesbian and Allies Senate Staff (GLASS) Caucus released the following statement on the passing of gay rights pioneer Frank Kameny:

“Frank Kameny was a true pioneer for the LGBT community, not just in Washington D.C., but across the nation. He forged a path to equality that many of us continue marching on today. As an organization whose primary mission is to promote the welfare and dignity of LGBT Senate employees, our work is made possible by Frank Kameny’s early, courageous struggle for change in federal government policies. We honor his legacy as we live out the purpose and mission of the GLASS Caucus.”
